Abstract:
This Book of Hours printed in Paris in 1530, bound with a Psalter printed in Paris in 1521, belonged to Sir Thomas More, lord chancellor of England under Henry VIII and a saint in the Roman Catholic Church. Henry VIII imprisoned More on a charge of treason in 1534. More was beheaded on July 6, 1535. More had this volume in the Tower of London during his imprisonment. The volume includes marginalia in Latin throughout and an English prayer.
