Plates illustrate the decorated façade of San Lorenzo and the catafalque, both the designs of Joseph Chamant, here engraved by Niccolò Mogalli and Carlo Gregori.
Rosso Antonio Martini, as court historian, prepared this account of the funeral of Elisabeth-Charllotte, Duchess of Orleans (who d. 19 Dec. 1744), held in Florence at the basilca San Lorenzo on 27 March 1745.
