Resolution and letter rebuffing James Hillhouse’s attempt to persuade Methodists, Baptists, and Episcopalians to accept state funds. Resolution (2 columns) is signed: In behalf of the Methodist Society in New-Haven, Isaac Gilbert, Sen. chairman. Jacob Wolf, secretary. Letter (3rd column) is addressed "To the Baptists of Connecticut" and signed: a Baptist.
