Abstract:
In ink verso (Photographer's number: XVI W O): Jimmy Davis, who said who (sic) [he] would join the army if he were allowed to fight in a mixed regiment but refused to be drafted Jim Crow. He was put in jail, released, and compromised by enlisting.
