Abstract:
A Tibetan watercolor painting on cotton that depicts Gautama Buddha escorted by two bodhisattvas and blessing a lama above a scene of the lama accompanied by Sarasvatī, a guardian deity who upholds the teachings of Gautama Buddha by offering protection and assistance to practitioners. The tanka includes a silk cover.
