Abstract:
A watercolor painting on cotton that depicts an unidentified Karmapa abbot wearing a red hat and seated, as well as accompanied by smaller figures, including a lama and protective divinities. Consecrated on the verso by a lama. Depiction of a stupa and inscriptions in Tibetan on verso. Accompanied with an envelope from Hotel Mount Everest, Darjeeling, India, with notes about the tanka.

1 painting: watercolor on cotton; 63 x 42 cm. bordered with silk brocade 122 x 84 cm.
