Islamic binding, in brown, with flap.
Not identical with Fī manbaʻ al-Nīl (Brockelmann, S III, p. 1255) of al-Akfahsī (d. 1405), since this work mentions events which occurred much later (cf. leaf 62 recto, where mention is made of the year A.H. 897, and of Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī).
On leaf 8 recto is a map of the Mountain of the Moon and of the source of the Nile.
