Tapa cloth presented to Stevenson by the natives of Samoa.
Abstract:
Tapa (mulberry) cloth made from the bark of the mulberry tree by natives in the back yard of Stevenson's home in Samoa, and presented to him in 1890. The windows are those of the home Stevenson built, the first windows the natives had ever seen.
