In beautiful large Arabic script (Chinese style), in black ink on white paper; text vocalized throughout, with recitation marks in red; all headings of the chapters are written in red; the opening two chapters are illuminated in gold, blue; green, red and other colors; the last page is also illuminated in green, gold, brown and other colors; text within double red frames; some pages are repaired with glued pieces of paper from modern Chinese publications; catchwords.
On folio 63 an attempt to practice copying part of verse 5 of Sūrat al-Raʻd.
On folio 63b an inscription in classical Chinese.

Selections from the Qurʼān: Starts with verse 53 of Sūrat Yūsuf (Chapter 12), Sūrat al-Raʻd (Chapter 13) to the end of Sūrat Ibrāhīm (Chapter 14). The manuscript was illuminated and copied in China in a Chinese style Arabic calligraphy. Qurʼān manuscripts from China are very rare. Name of copyist and date of copying not mentioned, probably from the 18th century.
