To the people of Texas. [An undated defense by Fisher of his conduct in connection with recapture from a Mexican prize crew of the American schooner Hannah Elizabeth. This was called forth by a letter of Fannin to the Council dated Matagorda, December 11, 1836 (i.e. 1835) attacking Fisher's part in the affair, which Fisher reprints here along with other documents.
