Two AL, one signed, possibly by Victor-Thérèse Charpentier, comte d'Ennery, the governor general of Martinique from 1763 to 1771, to the Chevalier de Monteil, commander of French naval forces in the Caribbean. The letters concern personal and political matters relating to the writer's administration of the Martinique government; letter of Apr 14 discusses treatment of Blacks on the island.
